Please read the rules below and make sure you understand them. By joining this community, you agree to abide by these rules so we can make sure the community remains a place of support.
1)Attitudes towards others should be respectful
2)Communicate appropriately and respectfully
3)We follow a strict no-drama policy
4)Trolling is not allowed.
5)No creating second accounts for the purpose of trolling or evading warnings
6)Do not ask for anything illegal or do monetary transactions for goods.
7)Protect your own privacy as well as others.
1)Attitudes towards others should be respectful
- We are here to support one another, not tear each other down. Abuse of any kind is not tolerated. This includes name-calling, insulting, and attacking others. This also includes hate speech, bigotry, or prejudice towards any group of people. Insulting a race, culture, sexuality, gender, etc of another person is not tolerated. In summary; no derogatory, slanderous, defamatory, or abusive content that could reasonably be interpreted to be about another member (whether directly or indirectly).
- This also includes attacking others for their body shape or size, unless in the “Body Critiques” and “Takedowns” forums.
- Do not question whether or not someone has an eating disorder. Do not try to argue against someone having any kind of disorder or mental illness. Nobody here is qualified to make assessments. Do not judge another person’s disorder.
- Swearing is allowed, but slurs are not. It is never okay to use swearing to intimidate or insult another member.
2)Communicate appropriately and respectfully
- If there is a post you disagree with or simply dislike, either express yourself in a polite manner or ignore it. A hostile environment is not tolerated.
- This includes hazing of new members -- do not reply with inside jokes, invalidating them, or making fun of them for their inherent newness. BE SUPPORTIVE. Even if you don't like people asking questions or asking for tips, do not haze them or belittle them for it.
- If someone is expressing an interest in recovery, do not belittle them in any way. Even though this forum is leaning towards the side of pro-ana, recovery is the best choice anyone can make. If the staff catches wind that someone is making light of recovery, they will be immediately considered for a permanent ban.
3)We follow a strict no-drama policy
- Do not single out or bully other members. Do not make call members out, target them, or attack them. Do not reference other members if it is to insult, abuse, or belittle them ANYWHERE. Do not make threads or posts or send mass PMs about the conduct of other members. If you are concerned about another member’s conduct, either press the report button or contact a staff member.
- There is a block feature. Please use it! Bypassing a block to continue to harass a member could lead to warning points or a ban depending on the situation. If the situation continues, please take it to a moderator.
- Do not argue over personal matters on the forums. Do not dig up drama from the past and try to incite discussion about drama, even if you weren't involved.
- Vague posting about fellow members of South Beach is not allowed (example: 'There's this user on South Beach who is really annoying...')
4)Trolling is not allowed.
- Do not troll other members or intentionally go out of your way to make other people upset.
- Do not make multiple accounts so you can harass or troll other members freely.
- Do not spam or bump excessively.
- Do not excessively promote your social media accounts. It's okay to seek out friends, but trying to get more views or followers on your content for the sake of views or followers is not allowed.Any examples of this will be merged into one thread in the relevant forum.
- Keep responses to threads relevant to the starting subject.
- Do not necrobump old, irrelevant, and outdated topics. Start new discussions when you can. Do not bump your threads excessively, for example, once every 30 minutes.
- Do not post the same topic in multiple forums.
- Farming for likes, AKA asking for people to like your content in order to boost your stats, is not allowed.
5)No creating second accounts for the purpose of trolling or evading warnings
- Second, third, etc. accounts made to dodge warnings will be banned. The warning issued to the original account is intended to remove you from the situation. Entering into the situation again will only perpetuate drama and cause further arguments.
- Second accounts created to troll or spread negativity will be banned, and the main account issued with warning points. Trolling an eating disorder/mental health support site is completely unacceptable.
- Any accounts to come back from a ban are on a zero-tolerance policy. You were banned for a reason.
6)Do not ask for anything illegal or do monetary transactions for goods.
- Do not ask for anything illegal. This includes drugs, illegal streaming websites, piracy downloads, or prostitution. Predators seeking out underage members will be permanently banned, immediately.
7)Protect your own privacy as well as others.
- Avoid posting contact details, such as Kik usernames, Snapchat usernames, phone numbers, email addresses directly on the forum. If you choose to share it in PM, be very careful who you share it with! This is for your own safety! Staff will remove publicly posted contact details at our discretion.
- Be careful what images you share, whether it be of yourself or family members or your children. If you choose to post nudity, pictures must be censored with intimate areas completely covered.
- Exposed genitalia is NEVER allowed.
- Do not share links to other member’s social media. This information is for members to share themselves. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.
- Doxxing is not allowed. Do not publically post another member’s real full name, address, phone number, or other identifying real-life information.
